Graduate of the last Decade
Aaron Veldheer is the chief revenue officer at Intersport. In this capacity, he is charged with maximizing revenue by creating and implementing Intersport’s long-term sales and marketing strategy. Previously at Intersport, Veldheer created and implemented a growth strategy for the company’s digital startup, managed relationships with broadcast and cable sports networks, and led event marketing, sponsorship, and media sales for multiple U.S. and international projects.
Prior to Intersport, Veldheer worked in the Investment Management Division at Goldman Sachs and as a corporate attorney at Goldberg Kohn in Chicago and at Miller Johnson in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He received his M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and his juris doctor from Michigan State University.
Veldheer played point guard for the men’s basketball team at Hillsdale from 1998-2001. In 2001, he helped lead the Chargers to their first GLIAC Championship and their first win in the NCAA Division II Tournament. He was a starter, captain, and Academic All-GLIAC each of his three years on the team.
Hillsdale College and its people, both current and past, have had a strong, positive influence on Veldheer’s life, professionally and personally. Out of gratitude to Hillsdale, Veldheer enjoys helping the College whenever possible, whether offering student internships at Intersport or returning to campus to speak with students.
Veldheer lives in Chicago with his wife Jodi and two sons, Lennox (age 4) and James (age 2). With Jodi, he spends most of his Saturdays playing with and teaching his sons, preparing them to be scholars and three-sport athletes at the College.
